What Your Parcel Suddenly Has to Do with Brussels

What Your Parcel Suddenly Has to Do with Brussels

A jacket, a cardboard box, some paper and adhesive tape – actually a fairly simple matter. Or so you might think.

What Your Parcel Suddenly Has to Do with Brussels

A jacket, a cardboard box, some paper and adhesive tape – actually a fairly simple matter. Or so you might think.

However, the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) has applied since 12 August 2026. Its purpose is to reduce packaging waste and ensure that packaging can be recycled more effectively throughout Europe. The objective is reasonable. The path towards it, however, is paved with registrations, quantity reports, declarations of conformity and numerous national requirements.

For companies such as Noble House, this means that we must document even more precisely which packaging we use, which materials it consists of, how much it weighs and to which country it is shipped. Even cardboard boxes, adhesive tape, tissue paper, shipping labels and protective bags must be included.

As we deliver our jackets, leather goods and footwear to many European countries, a single registration may not always be sufficient. Depending on the destination country, different reports, fees and points of contact may be required.

We take this responsibility seriously. At the same time, we believe that environmental protection must remain understandable, practical and manageable for smaller companies. Every additional registration and administrative task creates costs – money that we would much rather invest in durable products, high-quality materials and personal customer service.

For the time being, nothing will change for our customers. We are currently examining carefully which requirements Noble House must meet and how we can keep the additional costs as low as possible.

We will keep you informed about further developments here in our Noble House Stories.

Because even if the regulations become more complicated, our goal remains very simple:

Your order should arrive safely, neatly and with as little packaging as possible.
