Description

A-2 US Army Air Force, Black Horsehide

The A-2 Air Force jacket was only awarded to an Army Air Forces officer upon completion of basic flight training,

In our replica we included red satin lining. During WW2 red lined jackets were only given to Aces which had confirmed

their fifth aerial victory, making this a special distinction. We also placed the AAF emblem on the left shoulder, as was

custom to the original Air Force A-2 jacket. The design was originally issued in a wide range of color tones and hues,

ours is in black made from argentinian horsehide. The actual design would vary slightly, depending on the contract and manufacturer.

Details:

Hand Crafted Authentic and Historic Design.

Vegetable tanned argentinian horsehide.

Army Air Force emblem applied to the left shoulder.

Snap-flap pocket on both front sides.

Wind resistant knitted cuffs and waistband.
Lightweight silk, wadded lining.

How to Measure Correctly

Measure your chest circumference around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal around your body. The tape should fit comfortably without being too tight.

For flight jackets, leather jackets, and sheepskin jackets, we recommend allowing some extra room for comfort, especially if you plan to wear a sweater underneath.
