Submarine "Mate's" Jacket
For the crews of the Submarines, warships and small combat groups, part of the
uniform was the Navy or Mates leather jacket as it is now known as among collectors.
Our Navy-Mate jacket was created to be as accurate and authentic looking as
the orginal models from World War II.
We have used only the highest quality materials available to produce this jacket.
In order for them to appear as authentic as possible,
we have used the heaviest
yet most flexible bull leather. The buttons are made from solid metal and stamped
with the Navel Ensignia.
These jackets were worn originally by the crews of the German submarines and
then later by the armoured units in 1943.
Made from high quality Argentinian Bull leather.
At last you now have the chance to purchase one of our historic German leather
jackets which could be found from the Bismark to the U-99!
Vegetable Tanning:
This form of leather tanning is rarely practiced nowadays due to the very complex
process. ( only by this tanning method can the leather take on the unique sculptured
form and texture.
