Nylon Bomber Jacket, Black
The
B-15 replaced the A-2 leather jacket as the standard garment
for the crew and pilots of the US Air Force.
In 1944 it was the first
known time that the B-15 nylon jacket was issued. Between 1950 and
1954, during the Korean War,
this jacket was widely used by jet and
bomber pilots. Made from military specified flight satin nylon, lined
with insulating and warm wadding,
synthetic fur collar complete with
an Air Force patch on the left sleeve.
Available in the original
1950 US Air Force Blue and US Air Force Black.
