Die Luftwaffe Uhr Blaue 47 ist inspiriert von den legendären Fliegerchronographen der deutschen Luftwaffe im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Mit ihrem großzügigen 47-mm-Edelstahlgehäuse, sandgestrahlt für eine matte, reflektionsarme Oberfläche, erinnert sie an die robusten Instrumente, die damals in den Cockpits eingesetzt wurden, um Piloten unter extremen Bedingungen beste Ablesbarkeit zu gewährleisten.

As this was to Berlin, she had to cover an incredible 450 kilometres more and then got caught in a bad weather front shortly before her destination (Lufthansa was already no longer flying).
* At 03.30 she took off from Gleiweitz, at 06.00 she had already flown over 5 countries and at 09.20 she had already reached the Bosporus on the Asian side, where she landed, refuelled in Yesilköy and after a 1 hour break she set off for home.

She wanted to fly from Germany to Asia and back again in 24 hours! She therefore had 2 larger additional fuel tanks installed in her Messerschmitt!
* Ellie Beinhorn planned a special kind of record flight in an ME BF 108!

Despite these difficulties, she landed in Berlin at 18.08 after 3470 kilometres!
Ernst Udet, her former flight instructor, greeted her in his well-known dry manner
with: "You did a very nice job"

LUFTWAFFE SEXTANT TITAN

The carrier of an LUFTWAFFE-SEXTANT is asked again and again about the importance of the mirrored numbers on the dial of his wristwatch.
Because even most aviation watch connoisseurs often do not know what the significance this dial had for technology in the pioneering era of space travel.
When the NASA pioneer Wernher von Braun developed the V-missiles in Peenemunde, his direction determination team needed them unmanned using
high-precision measuring instruments. It was already known from the nautical Spiegelsextant availability. This determines the Sailors location by measuring

the angular distances between the stars and their height.

In order to use this instrument for aerospace, the engineers in Peenemunde needed a clock, which together with a Sextant could make these calculations.
The watch factory Lange & Söhne in Glassworks delivered 22 of these watches in 1943.
This timepiece is a modification of the B clock (observation clock), which is highly valued today with collectors. The sextant clock is equally as historical as the,
"Observer", "Bomber" and "Navigator" aviator clock classics.

The mirror-writing indication of the Sextant watch was necessary to allow the watch to be used with the sighting device of a mirror sextant.
The 22 watches were introducted at the cost of 360 RM, which is approx 2,000 euros. (For comparison: The first VW Beetle was introduced at the price of 990 RM).
This B-clock special edition was an officer's watch,

which had to be returned to the supervisor after completion of calculations - similar to all other B watches of the German Wehrmacht,
which after returning from a flight were handed back to the squadron commander.
For this replica, we deliberately chose titanium as the case material: "This material pays homage to space pioneer Wernher von Braun,
who laid the foundations in Peenemunde for his later success as a NASA developer. Titan has proven itself in space travel. Besides, The original
22 models supplied by Lange & Söhne in 1943 were made of gray frosted brass.

With a water resistance of up to 5 atm and its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the LUFTWAFFE-SEXTANT also exceeds its role models.
The onion crown is not only a nostalgic reminder of the classic aviation watches, but it is still popular today with watch carriers who wear gloves professionally
or in their spare time (motorcyclists!) that make it difficult to readjust the watch.
The LUFTWAFFE SEXTANT is available with the modified automatic movement ETA 2824-2 (25 Jewels); with Incabloc shock protection and second stop.

Record-Airplane E. Beinhorn
Ellie Beinhorn planned to establish a special kind of record with her ME BF 108 plane. She wanted to fly from Germany to Asia and back in 24 hours.
In order to be able to attempt this, she had 2 bigger tanks installed on her plane.
On August 13, 1935, she was ready. Beinhorn started at 03:30 o'clock in Gleiweitz. By 06:00 o'clock, she had already crossed over 5 countries;
arriving by the Bosperus on the asian side of the river at 09:20 o'clock. There she landed, refilled her tanks in Yesilköy, and after an hour long break, she started on the trip back home.
Since the trip ended in Berlin, she had to actually fly 450 km more on the home trip, and then also to end up having to fly in bad weather conditions shortly before her goal point in Berlin.
(The Weather was so bad that the Lufthansa did not even fly anymore.)
Despite of these flying conditions, Ellie Beinhorn landed in Berlin, after 3470 km, at 18:08 o'clock!
Ernst Udet, her former flying instructor, greetet her in his well known wry way by saying, "Das hast du ganz nett gemacht." (You did that pretty nicely.)
This watch was made in honor after Ellie Beinhorn and her success.

One special thing about this watch is the real 24-hour time display, another is the dial- which supports the display with its color. The dial is coated completely with a night-glowing cover in the lower/night area, and in the upper/day area only the digits are "made to glow".
