Untitled Document The nose-art became especially popular during World War 2.
It was first painted on the planes, but soon the pilots took the individual nose-art they had on each of “their” planes and transferred it also to their jackets (mainly A-2 jackets).
Nose-art was a way for the fighter pilots to show some of their own personality, and also helped support their pride.
The nose-art was inspired by the pilot’s wife/girlfriend, cartoons, pin-ups of that time, etc. We have captured two different types of nose-art on our A-2 jackets, making them real eyecatchers or attention getters.
