Pilot's Jacket A-2 Russet
Pilot's Jacket A-2 Russet
- our premium A-2 - made with hand-tanned cowhide
A2 US Army Air Force
Russet
The A-2 jacket was introduced
by the US Army Air Corps on May 29, 1931 as INTERMEDIATE Flying Jacket, and
worn until the end of the war. Pilots, and crew alike, looked at their A-2 jackets
as a trusty companion- it was more than just a piece of clothing.
The leather used for this
jacket is just fantastic:
2 mm thick and tanned by hand, exactly like 70 years ago. Tanned in our own
tannery.
Innerlining made from 100%
real cotton:
Authentic and breathable fabric
Details:
High quality, extra
thick (2 mm) cowhide
Back piece constructed from a single piece of leather
Snap-flap patch pockets, closed with snap fasteners
Shirt-style snap-down collar
Shoulder straps
Knit cuffs and waistband
100% real cotton inner lining
Exquisite workmanship through hand made production
The leather receives its
authentic look and the great touch sensation through the time consuming (and
therefore rare) vegetable tanning method.
The jacket's high quality
and great price are ensured because we can produce it in our own tannery!
